    Talking my vt executive

    hi guys.

    this is my vt.

its only a 6 cos im on my p's.

will buy an 8 when i get off them.

purchased it for $5k in full grandma spec in june 2008.

    Model: 98 executive
Colour: raven blue black (I think)
    Engine: 3.8l
Exhaust: not too sure but i paid close to $900 for it, with pacemaker headers and dual tip.
    Gearbox: Auto
    Brakes: standard
    Wheels/Tyres: 15" chasers
Interior: standard, painted door handle backings and door locks.

    Mods:

black head lights.................$250, 1 hours work
black tail lights....................$100, 20 minutes work
    monaro bonnet....................$400, 10 minutes work
    vx s rear garnish................$100, 20 minutes work
    k&n flat panel filter..............$70
    tint...................................$220
    king spring superlows............$280
    custom plates [no style].......$190
    tinted side indicators............10 minutes work
    full debadge.......................15 minutes work
removed strips off bumpers...1 minutes work
stereo system....................under $500, few hours work
painted the inner door handles.....few hours work
painted inner door locks..............few hours work
    modified the front grilles

    Future mods:

paint the bonnet and put some mesh in the scoops

put my superlows and camber kit in
19 inch rims, white wall tyres
colour code the skirts on my bumpers and sides
    fix up my panel damage
    leather interior
    paint the dash
maybe do a front and back vx calais bumper / light conversion.
either that or save up for a cv8z kit
    ...and that is all.
would like to do a manual conversion but would be cheaper selling mine and buying a manual vt
would also like to do an ls1 conversion when i get off my p's... but same as above lol

..heres some pics anyways, let me know what you think, any tips would be good, advice on stuff would help alot, thanks.

warning: last pic is a photoshopped image i edited.

    lemme know what you think!

If your gonna go exhaust and u wanna be a funny **** get extractors, put a straight through piece of pipe to bypass your cats n dont worry about rear mufflers. Sack it on its ass on stockies and it will be sik.

why's that mate? cos its not painted and the mesh isnt in? or u just dont like monaro bonnets? i actually wanted to get a full custom bonnet but i got this bonnet for a bargain so i snapped it up, i reckon it should look good once i get it painted.

cheers for your opinion mate, i agree the monaro lights look sweet on any vt, especially dark ones. i love em.

im just not a fan of those bonnets lol. i just reakon that if you have a use for the vents they should be there but if they dont do anything then they are like v8 badges on a v6. I dont even like them on the genuine factory monaro. So yeh i jst dont like that bonnet U looking that getting some rims? or maybe some series 2 calais grills?

Those headlights make a huge improvement over the stocko ones.

Once you pay the bills off, grab yourself an SS kit. The front bar looks a bit out of place with the bonnet. Get the front grill all fixed up. Paint the little white bits in the bonnet black you they dont stand out so much, and get grills for them.

Tint and lower the bitch aswell

    + debadge

lol, good car thou mate! keep us posted

yeah mate on the hunt for rims now.. not sure if i should get some nice black ones, either way they will be 19's.

as for the grille, im just gonna put the factory ones back in until i get a kit for it, was thinking a vx clubby kit and they have a grille in them already.

    cheers mate

yeah monaro kit was my other option mate, nice and round shaped.
if i had the money id buy a kit and design something custom, but im lacking funds and creativity. cos if i get a monaro kit itll look like ive tried to make a mock up naro.. but oh well naros are sick anyways lol

What sideskirts would you use? I thought the monaro was shorter therefore the sideskirts would be too short?

yeah they would be shorter... but the monaro kits on ebay are made to fit vt's and vx's so the sides must be customized.. dunno what sideskirts i like, they are all too flashy for me, bit too 'ricer' if u know what i mean, just want some plain sideskirts lol anyone know some nice sideskirts? nothing with vents and crap in them..
