    nice platform to start with mate;

    lower it
    remove those mudgaurds
    get some rims (no chrome)
paint those black strips and your mirrors the colour of the car
    Shiftkit
    2.5" catback

    and then cruise
no longer a hoon by association - the commodore is gone

    Cheers,

I have the FE2 kit sitting at home, just need the time to install it
I will be removing the mudguards when I get some new rims

Just curious, but can you get chrome exterior mirrors & grill to suit?

I can pick up a 2.5" centre and rear sports muffler and piping and a tip for a little over $200 brand new, is that decent pricing?

    Thanks, Brendan

Ebay will be the best bet for the chrome stuff. i know mine is a vt but is this the sort of thing you want?

$200 is a good price if you can fit it yoursef its even better. The FE2 shocks will be good but dont use the springs becuase they wont be low enough

I don't particularly want to go eBay... Last time i bought off there i lost money in the process -.- at the moment I'm looking at getting a towbar for some jobs that need requiring around the house, so I don't want to go too low for starters, 6 months down the track I'll definitely be getting it lowered to the same as yours. Did you need to get shorter shocks at all?

nah i just kept the standard shockers, it still goes well thru the hills with them. has 30mm sway bars and a strut brace also they are good mods if you like some white knuckle hills stuff.

Ordered some Monaro Taillights during the week, arrived yesterday so I thought I'd try installing them, turned out more work than i expected but I eventually got there. Had to make minor modifications to the socket where the spigot bush for the taillight harnesses go through. The after market socket was a little bit bigger so I had to file away at the hole, anyone else have this problem? Anyway heres a few pictures, feel free to post your opinion =)

    Thanks, Brendan

They're the shadow chrome ones... little darker but they look much better in real life. I prefer LED over normal bulbs, but that's just my personal choice.

don't normally like the chrome/shadow chrom altezza's but they suite the colour well.

It's amazing how something like grils can completely change the look of a car!

Yeah had the exact same problem. I just filed the plastic corners on the plug, making sure it didnt cut to far down, made it fit fine.

you doing all the same things I am good stuff! I recently ordered chrome altezza taillights, debadged and the ss grill as well!

Top stuff.. what do you plan to do next?

Cheers mate. Yeh next will be lowering, but i'll only be putting in the FE2 setup as the girlfriend's gutter is quite high so it'll scrape =(

As I said earlier, i'll definately be lowering it, then after that I'll be getting the black altezza headlights. So much to do with so little money =( but soon the mods will be coming along quicker

Small update. I'm finally getting it lowered! She's booked in next wednesday to get the setup change over to the FE2. I wish I could go lower though =(. Should still look and feel heaps better than stocko though! =D.

Also getting some satin chrome interior door handles. From memory i'll be pickig the handles up for either $17.75+tax, or $17.75incl tax, is that decent pricing?

I don't know how they'll look, but I'm also getting some exterior chrome mirrors too, so we'll see how they go??

hey are they the metal or plastic door handles?

because if they are metal you have got yourself a bargain, they normally go for 50 or more on eBay, or is 17.75 each lol?

don't get the chrome mirrors, they look hell gay, my opinion anyway =]

Rang the guy today, $17.75+ Tax for the lot. He works at a holden dealership and it's some special where he got them for free but has to charge someone, so he's charging me for 1 door handle, but giving me all 4. I'll be picking them up next week. Yeh, have decided against the chrome mirrors, I'll put the $135 ._. towards something else, probs a camber kit *if needed* or something else, got any ideas peeps?

As for the neons I have the switch in the pocket which is underneath (or in my case) above the CD player, I drilled a hole and have it bolted in there. Then I have it all wired in to my CD player harness as it was easy to get to from the connectors =) hope it helps but yeh. NEED IDEAS PEEPS XD

dead set bargain, i was thinking bout getting myself some, but i might just paint mine a different colour... lol dunno.

i think your tail lights are ok, but if you change ur mind ive seen the black ones like mine on a car the same colour as yours and they look really nice.

keep it up man, yeah spend that money on a camber kit.. are you going with superlows?

    Looks good,

I have similar lights- I got the black LED lights.
They were a tiny bit to big for the holes....so I just forced them through...and now its all good
