Update:
Smashed my car on Thursday going to work.
contemplated buying bumpers and headlights and kits myself then paying for a re-spray of the front, and avoiding claiming it on my insurance.
but it would have been a lengthy process and car was un-roadworthy after the ordeal.
So on friday my mum took the car to AAMi and i put the claim in, so when i get my car back on the 5th August Approx (god its hard without it, i miss it already) she should be all sweet, with the scratches on my bonnet fixed (possibly a new bonnet and front bar) not quiet sure.
My headlights aftermarket Altezzas + hid's should be covered however. i bought them off forum members and off eBay, so how would they match my hid's with my right hand side one? :S hope they don't just replace front lights with stock VX ones. Id be pissed.
anyway, disappointing, but only have myself to blame. more money out of the sky rocket. week after i should get her back i'm off to Thailand to unwind so im stoked for that.
looking forward to seeing less of those scratches on the bonnet, if only i could have had the front bar replaced with a VX SS one and the dents in my roof fixed too. :P
Does anyone know how much $ approx to get lower sections of stock bumpers color coded + mirrors color coded?

Thats a shame man have u got any pics of the damage? Did u put the headlights and the HID kit on ur insurance polocy? coz if u didnt i dont think they will cover them hey.

I insured the Hid's and Altezzas, but i got the HID's off Gerald from gadget master, all i needed to replace was the left side Globe for the HID, so as long as the headlight Altezzas are replaced I'm happy to just buy another HID globe.

just got back from the wreckers, came back empty handed.
was going to get a set of vx Calais chrome window surrounds but they wanted $275 for the set.
Was also going to get a vx Calais rear garnish but they wanted $165 for that too.

Got my beast back, and she looks better then ever! all brand new bonnet and front bar, headlight (left) and (left side guard)
if only the small screw dents in the roof where covered :P
ah well i got some touch-up paint, it'll do the job.

The sunglasses holder is a sweet addition to the interior i was thinkin about getting one for my vx.. Are they hard to install and get working? Whats the process?

Easy, if you are a hands on person and have patience.
Just make sure you don't use screws too long. i followed a guide that made me use screws that where too long, hence two dents in my roof.

UPDATE: been quiet lately. But i decided to put the Stock tail lights back in, my monaro ones where becoming too common for my liking. plus i like change. happy with how it looks

As you can see in first few pics, she was very shinny. i just finished polishing her with turtlewax its great stuff, can be used on plastics and rubber etc and doesn't leave residue.

Lookin good mate... Yeah i meant the bottom section of the bumpers. What did you get quoted to paint them? I've seen it done several times before and they've all said it was worth it...
Good RE: the wing... So many people rip them off the VT/VX, Personally I think they're ugly without them. Same with the VE...
