hey all, newbie to these parts of the intaweb. anyway, heres my ride. 01 ss, leather, sunroof, satnav gadget (not working coz of software ), lowered yesterday to SL kings, 3.5 single exhaust, bboss sylvia wheels - 18s, aftermarket head unit and 12" sub. OTRCAI and MAFless tune soon to come. anyway, photos below. a nice one of the clearance from the front bar to the road off my driveway. and i hot earthed my car for 50 bucks today! DIY ofcourse. but it was good and seems to work

yea 'tis leather. is nice to sit on. the exhaust does sound nice, a bit droney but i seem to like the drone. after getting to the top of a hill near my place i need to pop my ears coz its a little deafening. getting it louder soon too

As mentioned before, you cant go wrong... V8 + Leather + Sunroof = WIN!

cam going in soon, going to change it to a manual first, the auto is on its way out now. not that i helped it much... i ran it last night and i got a 13.22 @ 107 on really old tyres with a buggered diff, so hopefully into the 12s with new tyres and diff. its had headers, 3.5 catback, 3.46 gears, otr and tune.

End up getting ur Satnav working? What CD do you have for it ... might be able to help you out

na i didnt. its a VDO dayton thingo, ive got the book for the MS 5000 version, but the cd i have is for the MO 5064 version. i dont know what that all means, but i reckon the cd is tied to a certain unit. as in you cant use another cd with another satnav unit. its worth a shot if you can help and would be very much appreciated. i got quoted 2000 bucks to get it sent away to be fixed up by the VDO people.

the system info screen tells me the HW# is 0102 and the SW# is 0640. i assume that means the harware and software numbers?

Yeah you can use any cd from the same model in any unit... Tried it in a mates car

My CD Is really really old tho so only good for highways.

P.s its a MS5000 as well

na thats ok so long as the thing works to some degree. if i could pinch the cd off you so i can copy it that would be very much appreciated, or do i not need the cd?
