looking tidy man! put an exhaust on her!
now that i wont be driving her i will have a bit of cash tpo spend so im thinking extractors cam exaust and i think i like the sleeper look so i might just tidy the kit up and fix the few paint spots and make her into a bit of a sleeper looking to get new seats for the front, and back possibly got to fix up the suspention, i hit a bump and she bounces real bad and gotta get somthing to rectify the tire angle,
Nice.
Looks clean as! Wish mine was a Berlina, I want the colour coded skirts ahah!
Extractors, Cam ...... **** yeah will be tuff as mate!
....My Impulse VZ SS....
it looks clean but it has some hail damage and the front bumper is coming off becouse the retarded dude that had it before me seems to have trouble driving and scrapped up against somthing so i gotta sand down his scraps on the front gaurd buy a black clip thing and put that back on
i hate painting, not patient enough but i guess i got a bit of time to learn
some series 2 calais front grills would look nice,
have a look at my silver vt for pics of the grills
no longer a hoon by association - the commodore is gone
just thought id update the threat a bit, got new pics up and im hunting for 2 new front seats drivers one decided to hate me and break, so it dosent stay in position it just goes back and forward so i cant lean on itif anyone is stripping a vt give me a yell and ill see if i can take them off your hands
Mark
very nice!
Did you paint the bottom trims same colour or was it like that when you got it?
I noticed you have a few dents there, dont ya just hate dents! Ive got a few myself.
Also the odd mirrors are noticable
not too fond of the black strip on the sides either,,
but a nice car to start with.
man i HATE that black strip >.< i been told its a bastard to get off so im going to wait till i have a bit of time to get into it bottom trim was some colour when i got it and yeah, theres bout 20ish hail damaged bits, and im heading over to the wreckers soon for a new mirror and a drivers seat some time in the next week, plan on debadging and im tossing up getting a vx ss front end and throwing that on, think it would look nice. but monitary problems are stopping me doing anything at the moment so all in good time hopefully
Looks pretty good mate nice buy.

I'm guessing your probably not a stupid as me, When i removed my front seat i had to have the airbags reset, So just encase when removing the seat don't turn the car even on reds or accand im heading over to the wreckers soon for a new mirror and a drivers seat some time in the next week,.

Nicko made a "How to" debadge your car thread.. same technique we use to remove the side strips... check it out it may be what your looking for
Debadge your car in 10 minutes, WARNING dial up users
yeah i found that the other day, talked to him n he suggested i make a bit of time if im going to do it, becouse he pulled paint off when he did his, i dont have the money for a respray and i cant paint for **** so im gunna take it as slow as i can make sure i get it right :P
Yep you have to be careful
Just remember if you do attempt it not to pull on the strip lol
and to let the fishing line do all the work slicing through the backing.
the up side to it is that the fishing line cant cut through the paint but yeah if you pull on the strip it will pull the paint off
would it be a good idea to get a heat gun from supercheap or somthing? just a ****ty cheap one thats gunna last the day? help it along a little
A heat gun may help a little.
But your paint will actually come off easier.
I did mine in the middle of winter (snowing conditions) so the backing was ice cold.
You just have to get a piece of fishing line behind it and slice through it.
The hard part is getting the glue off the paint once the strip comes off.
A heat gun might come in handy to do it though its not needed,
The glue should just come off with your finger nail then give it some polish to protect.
Nicko used prepsol I believe to get the glue off,
I just used my finger nail and some polish
2 easy, ill get onto it some time soon then what sort of cleaning products did you useafter u got the badges off?

to clean it after the badges were off i wiped it with a damp rag to get the dirt off
then used my nail to peel the glue off
then used the rag again to wipe the dirt off
then used car polish to get the excess glue off and to shine/protect it
i tried using metho on the first badge but with no luck it just seemed to spread the glue
i didnt wanna risk using any paint thinners or stripers to clean the glue
the polish worked a treat
how long did the whole car take you??? badges and black strip things
whole car took around 10 mins to remove all the badges
but getting them back on took around 2 hours to do properly
much cleaner with the badges and strips off hey ozzie
