Hey, thought I'd finally post my ride up on here.
I have a VX Commodore Lumina 2001. Here's a list of the things I've done to it so far - mainly just cosmetic things:
Stereo: (photo down further)
H/U - Alpine 9886
Front's - Polk MOMO MMC6500 (6.5" Splits)
Rears - Pioneer 4 Way (some old ones I had laying around)
Boot - Alpine MRP-1000 running 2 x Pioneer 12" Subs in genuine Pioneer box and Alpine MRP-F300 running the front splits.
- Altezza Black LED tail lights (look f'n sweet
)
- Changed interior light to 24 LED light.
- Added green LED's under door frame - lights up the road nicely when door opens, and turns off when door closes.
- Added green LED tubes in boot, connected to boot light pin
- More green LED's in front footwells, connected to StreetGlow Music Interface - making them pulse to the music.
- White LED's to light up number plate - only because the width of the LED's was 1mm too wide to fit in the parkers place grr haha.
- White LED parkers
- Have badged my car with DENNO
haha.
- Painted Engine Cover (Kermit Green - I got the last can of this colour in existance haha :P)
- I did have green LED parkers, which looked insane, but they were damaged in the car accident, and I had already had a cop tell me to get rid of them, so I figured I'd listen (all be it 2 months later haha)
- Lowered - FE2 springs
- Lukey 2.5" exhaust from catback
- Painted dash green
![]()
- Green Brake Calipers front and rear
- Rims are on layby - ROH Prowler Black
Future Plans:
Altezza Black Headlights
Swap out the Pioneer subs for Alpine Type-R's
I have also managed to crash my car, which was heartbraking at the time, and meant I was without it for 2 whole weeks! Can't believe how much I missed it! lol This is all I can think of for now, check out the photo's.
Out with the old, in with the new:
From this when I first bought it:
To this:
To heartbreak:
Now to this:
(^^^ sexy ^^^)
Will take better night shots when I go to dads and we set up the tripod and properly take the photos.
Lowered:
Exhaust Tip
Green Dash
Green Calipers
Green Skirting
Green Nose - although as I am uploading these photos, the paint is outside drying on the grill - didn't like the green, so have changed it to white.
....and my boot
New Rims: ROH Prowler
Did have a PCB soldered up with blue LED's ready to go into my heater control unit, however when I went to perform the first test run, I burnt the track on the stock PCB board, and blew a fuse, which I didn't pick at the time cuz I was looking at the wrong fuse lol. So now I'll just be putting those Neo Wedge LED's you can get off eBay into the globe holders positions. I dont really care if I get hot spots, it's been that much of a headache trying to get it to work that I just want it done lol.
Let me know what you guys think.

cheers mate. Good to see ya kept ya word and you were the first post :P ahaha.
hahaha now u just need to dump it and get sum decent rims man
hey how to gat led's fixed and how much it coasts approx...
i got the same leds great ay didnt even think about putting them on the doors, looks nice and i see ur in sa u gonna make it to the next cruise?
I got them off eBay mate, they're only cheap, which is why I thought of putting them under the doors, cuz it didn't matter if they weren't very bright. Turns out they are quite bright, and I'm very happy with the result. The strip that you buy has tape on the other side, which makes it easy to just stick under the door frame. Then all you ave to do is pass the wires through the black rubber thing that goes from the door to the cabin, and connect the wires to some power. I grounded them to the pin in the door that the interior light uses - no point having them on when the door's closed lol.
They're called flexible strips, and this is the guys shop so you can see all the colours.

As for the cruises, I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it. Uni takes up lot of time with homework and everything, and then also working every weeknight, so I'll have to see. My mate from work goes on pretty much all of them, so maybe I'll tag along with him one night.

haha maybe... Or maybe I'll just follow you down in my car :P either/or lol. One problem with going in your car though, and that would be a matter of road worthiness yes? :P. That sucks major time ay.
Great work, Love to see a car repaired and brought back from the dead.

Saving for some rims now, looking at ANZ Wheels 'Ghost', or Advanti 'Medusa', whichever I can get cheaper (as they look exactly the same).

haha yeah that's true Ozzie.. I do plan on colouring them... But just have to find out a few things first, like whether I just paint over the grainy plastic bit, or if the black parts are replaced by smooth fiberglass type plastic.. Once that's settled, then I'll give painting them a go.
Updated info and added some more photos![]()
