ah yes my favourite colour. nice car mate
Thanks for the comments guys, iv only had her for just over a week now, but as you can see, iv gotten stuck into it pretty quick with the sound system, I am just waiting for some front grills to chuck some mesh in (as i dont want to destroy the original ones). And that neon on the back shelf adds a nice touch i rekon![]()
Well guys, well, il soon be coming into some cash so i am looking at getting a set of 18" chromies, and getting the tyres later..
So, basically just wanting some suggestions or pics of some wheels that might suit my carthanks in advance
Ok, well updates people. I bought my second set of front vt grills, they have been gutted, sanded and primed ready for tomorrow to be painted chrome and mesh inserts put in.
I am also currently bidding on a vx garnish already painted in the colour of my car (dont go stealing it off me :P), then later down the track im gonna grab some black altezza tail lights when i have the $$
Also bought some underbody neons, (yeah probly rice) but it will look mad, havnt picked them up yet tho.
hey man update us with pics of your grille man, keen on doing something like that to mine, looks nice mn, love tiger mica
my ride [ vt - no style ]
Thanks mate, well here are the pics of the grills, turned out very nice in my opinion, later down the track il probably sand them down a bit more and make them perfect. But they wayyyy better then stock grills
COST:
Mesh - autobarn $30 for a sheet, did grills and slot down the bottom with enoigh left for another set of grills, (could go halves with a mate)
Chrome paint - Bunnings, white king super chrome $20 (again halves with a mate)
Grills - kumbak $44, i also picked up a set for $15 off ebay
about 1 hour of cutting out the centres and sanding down, il do more sanding later

cheers for the pics

hey what did you stick it on with?
and do u reckon it'd be suitable for sticking the mesh on my bonnet too?
my ride [ vt - no style ]
the mesh bends really easily, so its moulded over the edges of the back of the grill and cillioned on around the edges, hot glue gun would work a treat too, would work on the bonnet to, id go with hot glue gun, so it dries clear
hey mate, get a berlina garnish for her. Will look much nicer at night
no longer a hoon by association - the commodore is gone
got any new pictures you can put up, I got the same car and like some ideas on what to do to it ;]
Here are some more pics for ya:
VTIGA2 - Page 1 - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Theres some pics of the grills changed, gauge pod in the pillar, neon on the back shelf, feet light neons, sound reactive neon above headunit, neons in the sub box, leds in the ports of the box (sound reactive), underbody neons, changed dash badge to a chrome one, LED water jets, exhaust tip to fill up the cutout in the bumper.
Hope you get some ideas, some other things that are a good mod are altezza black headlights, altezza tail lights with vx rear garnish
ricer lights and a calais garnish? nooooo
neons?![]()
Nice man nice, maybe some night time photos ;] haha
Show lumina01 that they make the car look sexy :P
Haha nice bro.
Once again thanks for pictures =P
I'll get my "fully sick" stock car up in a thread soon for you to suggest mods lol
ha yeah, looking forward to seeing it
grilles look awesome mate. just a tip with the wiring for the neon. couldnt you run it down where the baby seat bolt is. so there isnt just a wire running across.
neat car.. good luck with it.
thanks mate, and don't worry, those plates arnt on the carand i have decided to get a k&n panel filter instead, to make use of the stock cai. I will probably go buy one today
