Cheers guys. I'm pretty happy with it too. Something different from the standard grille!
Priced up the chrome strip on the garnish (calais). Holden wants $125! What a rip off for a piece of plastic!
yeah holden are a rip. you try preston motors in greens road, dandy? maybe give a ring around to the wreckers... if mine mysteriously goes missing I'll know where to start lookin haha
Haven't posted for a while so I thought I would!
Not much going on really. Been trying to save some dosh to get things done.
Hopefully the VN will sell soon so I can pour a little more into this car.
Next on the list is Pacies and high flow cats. Then i'll get the maffless tune done.
What is peoples opinions on which type of pacies I should get. Tri-y's or comps?
Cheers,
Sam
Got my engine covers painted today. They came up quite nice!
Other than that, nothing too much happening. Trying ot save some money to do more performance mods soon...

I must agree it's a really nice colour when it's clean (maybe slightly biased opinion here >_>)
I like that you've kept it clean, nice car you've got there.
have ya thought about who ya going to go to for the tune?
Covers come up nice.

Yer mate, gonna go with Chevs. Heard nothing but good reports about them. And his price was fairly good too.
Just gotta find time and the money! Still need extractors, and cats!
just a heads up mate, GMM are doing a tune + OTR special for 950this month only.
Man looks so clean and tidy, the chrome grill sets it off.

Thanks mate.
Not a whole lot going on at the moment. Sorta trying to save for a house...
Having said that, I finally installed my 2 8" pioneer subs on the parcel shelf. They sound pretty good, but I need to fix a fair few rattles!
Also, just bought a set of tri-y's to go on. Any ideas how much an exhaust shop will charge to fit them?
Cheers,
Sam
Long time no postage!
Not much to report on, other than pacies are on, metal cats are on, and she's about to click over 100,000kms!
Next month is tune time, down at Chev's.
Been looking at some slotted rotors for the front, and found this bloke on ebay. Has anyone dealt with him, and are his rotors ok?

I bought the vt upgrade kit for my stato from them.
Only problem i had with them is that they said they'd post them out the day i paid for them, but never happend. (when i rang them about it, my kit was still being made)...
I ended up getting them about 10days after i paid for them.
A few other people ive spoken have bought stuff from him, and are happy with them.

Very nice dude, you have done it up tastefully!! Too many screw these babies up and deserve to get the needle!! Go for the headlights out of a series 2 Calais....the dark outlined ones. I have the same model/same colour etc and I fitted them a few months ago, and really set the front of the car off!! They will look awesome with the chrome grill!!
The engine covers look awesome! How much did it cost you to get them posted if you don't mind me asking? I have ripped the turtle shell off mine and haven't bothered to get the side ones yet (on the to do list) and I was planning on colour matching them as you have done!![]()
Thanks HSVPUNK, i'll probably go with him, as he's been the cheapest I can find, and right near work!
hwy747, thanks for the kind words. I totally agree with what you say about people going overboard!
I don't want to do too much else to the exterior, except fit the fog lights, and lower it a little more.
Engine covers I got off ebay, think I payed $75 posted. I had them painted for $50 from a friend, so all up around $125.
Cheers,
Sam
bloody nice Sam....
Thanks Nev.
News on the car, well not a whole lot... Bought some VY SS pedals, still trying to figure out the accelerator pedal though..
Also got some calais sun visor with the lights and a vy/vz sunnies holder to go in, when i get a chance.
My ORSSOM intake is all painted up and ready to go on. It's booked in for the 12th at Chevs to get the maffless tune.
Cheers,
Sam
Nice work mate. Might see you down at Chevos... I'll show you how a cammed LS1 goes while your waiting.. haha
Sweet as, might give me some incentive to save for a cam.
Out of interest, how long does it take them to tune it?
Chevs FTW.
