hey mate truely a great ride reminds me of my old beast you cant beat the shape of the VX SS esspecially in black. id love to post a few pics of my old girl maybe it might give you some inspiration for yours but it seems i have exceeded my image quota lol, if your interested mate give us a hoi happy to share. it had red leather coulsens, the monaro 427 tail lights, the aftermarket headlights with the halogens (they looked great all blacked out on the inside) monaro bonnet marble dash dvd/tv 2x12" subs in the boot, chrome highlights with the door handles gear knob, mine was a worked auto :-( chevy badges (a soft spot for many) 3.9's out back and the motor well thats another story. what started as a cam package ended in disaster, i fixed it up and sold it spent way to much money on incompetent work almost shattered my modifying dreams but ive moved on, i have my new ride a VY ss ute posted (GEN3UTE) check it out. enjoy your ride mate.

nice mate, something i missed when i did audio...speakers. lol. just kept the originals and chucked a 12er in the boot. Should sound great when in, keep up the great stuff, looks imac.

yeab S stuff is still sweet... I did the same as you... started with S stuff and when I blew my two 12's I swsapped for a Type R 15" and the pretty red stuff..

got the 80thou service today, glad to have done it.
just to get everything refreshed and sht.
found out the power steereing rack has small leak-$1000(wont bother for now)
spoiler gaskets are almost popping out-$70 (i cud replace these myself yeah?)
aerial motor is fuuckd(wont go down)-$200
tires are low tread
minor engine tick when cold.no biggie apparently.

so all in all besides a couple minnor exterior shtbits, shes all healthyyy
guna be regularly dumping oil tho.

priced up some exhaust and breathing mods also,

alloy otr = $700
mafless tune = $1200

4into1 pacies = $1200 (aaargh wtf? lol)
2hi flo cats = $900

i see an empty wallet next month...

look on ls1 forum theres heaps of cheap second hand extractors all the time. should be able to pick up a set for 500 max.
and 2 hi flow cats should only be about 450 installed max.

How much was the head unit man? i looked at those seemed not bad and pretty affordable 4 wat it is, should also match the blue dash lights nicely 2. Also turn ur sub around 2 u should notice better bass.

soo, my type s sub blew up a few wks ago
aarrggh.
apparently it was overdriven or underpowered(or whatever)
eventually went 'pop'
lets just say, burn voice coil, taking it back into jb=smoke evrywhere.
jb took it to alpine, but they wudnt refund it,
apparently a burnt voice coil isnt covered under warranty(ppftt)
so in the end it was lucky cause me and the jb car audio man are alright and he got jb to refund it to me anyway...(props shein)

sooo after 3weeks, and a whole lot of ***CCCING around, i paid an extra bit an so now i have a 500w RMS alpine typeR sub in a mint box, and its tuned properly, and the music is pummpin properly as it should be..

and pacemaker 4into1's are goin in tmro morning, hi flow cats will come in later when i have more cashh.
so ill have a bit louder for the cruise friday night..

ahh thats no good man but u can see ya definatly over powered the sub uve got a decent amp at 500RMS where as the type S i think r only 300RMS lesson learnt huh

Tho sayin that u could have still used that sub but u would have had 2 turn ur gains right down but ideally not worth it as ur not utilising the amps full potential.
