Here it is.
1999 WH Statesman, Supercharged V6.
Appart from the international wheels on it everything else is basically stock. I'm not a super mechanically minded guy so I never really got into doing any mods to it or making it super tuned or anything like that. I'm more in the mode of "argh something's making a noise, I need to get it looked at" most of the time haha.
Anyway, I really love my car and am starting to get into the mindset of thinking that it's worth spending the money to get it running as best I can because I do a LOT of driving. For a long time I was annoyed that it seemed to be becoming a bit of a money pit. Starting to take some more pride in my car and getting into finding out more and more about how things work and why. This forum has been a great resource for that. So many really great knowledgable folks floating around always willing to offer some advice.

Nice car, once you find out about blower whine and how to make it louder you will find even more of a money pit to throw cash into![]()
Thanks guys! I need to worry more about the money I need to pour into it to get rid of it's annoying little problems before I start screwing around with making it sound tougher haha.
very nice! always loved WH'snice wheels on it too
as for the money pit thing, I had the same problem with my 99 calais, my long list of mods slowlllyyy got shorter and shorter due to the fact that i had to spend the money on more pressing issues, until eventually there was no mods list at all! haha
anyway, looks great![]()
Woo blew the heater tap today! Luckilly just before I got on the highway...temp light blazing, smoke pouring out of the engine bay.
Pulled over and could see fluid squirting out of the tap onto the engine causing the smoke as it burned up.
Quick and cheap fix though, all sorted out within a few hours.
The RACQ mechanic that come out was a bit of a tool though. Talk about abrupt and having no customer service skills.
Tow driver was a legend though.
Well, this is now salty's ex-ride. Farewell WH. Will be posting a new ride thread shortly!
