So do these have more boost stock than the regular L67s? What other changes does it have to get it to 180? Nice car by the way.

Hang on a second, you can't legally drive a Supercharged engine on your P's in NSW can you? Because the guy i bought my Supercharged car off was saying it's illegal for P Platers in NSW to drive them which is why no young guys asked about the car from NSW.

Raging Bull, the L67's were rated at 171kW, so just changing the exhaust to HSV headers would push it to 180. Not much work at all to get an extra 9kW. Maybe even just an air filter, or a les restricitve air intake. Or a better tune.

Funny how when the XU6's first came out, they were bagged out and looked down upon. But now, they have a certain level of desirability to them. Probably a lot to do with the fact that not a lot of people brought them in the first place. Nice ride, keep it neat, keep it original, and you'll keep it desirble

Yeah that's what I thought, cause from that picture the pulley looks like the stock one. What kind of an exhaust comes with the XU6s?

How does that differ from the stock L67 exhausts?

If it differs it would just have HSV headers.

But for 9kW it's probably just a different tune mixed with a different air intake system [different intake and different filter would've been used].

XU6 has factory fitted headers, not cast manifolds.

Oh I see. I'm just curious because my car makes a considerably lounder note (stock VX L67) than my friends VY 67 also stock, you can barely hear his exhaust whereas my one is quite loud, I had a look underneath and it is a twin system 2.25' that merges into 1 at the end with Holden written on the rear resos. I suspected it was an XU6 or clubby exhaust but I'm still puzzled.

they are just HSV headers, twin 2 1/2 exhaust (calais had twin 2 1/4, 3 muffler systems) and a HSV chip to get 9kw at the flywheel, like the calais it has the standard CAI and box

look at this for any extra info FIT's XU6
