Hey guys, here is my 2001 VX Exec series 2.
I just joined up here last week.
Have had my car for about a year now, and what few mods I've made have been done in the last 2-3 months so thought I'd share it with you.

Model: VX Exec S2

Build Date: Late 2001

Colour: White

Engine: 3.8L Ecotec

Kms: 140,000

Gearbox: 4spd Auto

Exhaust: 2.5" cat-back. Muffler in the middle, hot dog on the end with twin 3" tips.
(fitted today! )

Brakes: stock

Suspension: standard

Wheels/Tyres: hubcaps

Stereo:
Head Unit: Pioneer DEH-6050UB
Front Speakers: Standard
Rear Speakers: PIONEER TS-A6962E 300w 3-Way 6x9s
- iPod connection in glove box

Purchase Price: $9,000 (April 2007)


Current modifications:
-Tinted windows
-2.5" cat-back. Twin 3" tips.
-Sound system
-Twin Air Horns (a bit of fun!)
-White head lights & parkers (don't remember what strength I bought)
-Took the Exec badge off for fun & to see how hard it would be. Will get around to taking all others off except the two lions.
-Custom plates

Future Mods:
-Kings Super Lows (Probably in a month or two, mate's rates )
-Rims. Either nice ones later on, or VE interceptors with low profiles sooner rather than later (don't know if it's worth it though)
-Take the exterior black door molds off
-Painted calipers (if I end up getting rims)
-Paint the engine cover, black most likely.
-Replace headlining? (After seeing the handy thread in the DIY section lol)
-Fix my antenna Won't go down


Good family friends are mechanics so after I bought the VX we replaced:
-Fuel filter
-Oil Filter
-Drive belt
-Alternator
-All spark plugs and refitted spark plug leads

-Also gave the throttle body a good clean, so she runs like a dream!

I got the exactly same setup and the same problem..

let me know if you find out how to fix it.
