If they're both IRS it'll bolt up, provided it's the same engine. (Might even fit between engines but I'm not sure, haven't been there)

LSD wouldnt make any difference. exhaust should bolt up fine.

Every model except the Tonners and a couple of other special ones. All sedan models had IRS

LSD is not significantly different (if at all) externally, so if it's going from a VY sedan to another VY sedan with the same motor I'd say you'll be fine.

If they are both sedans, yes it will fit.

If it's a series 1, then I believe it wont fit.. Worst case scenario is that it will need to be modified slightly..

    It will fit regardless.

The series one had a single cat, the series 2 had twin cats, but they had a y pipe that brought the front flange of the exhaust to the same place anyway.

Just didn't want to get their hopes up by saying it'll be a direct swap..

No it isn't.. I have a series 2 VY and I bought a catback to suit a series 1 and guess what, it was not a direct fit..

The stock system is a direct swap.

You must have removed the Y piece off the cats from yours did you?

    Nope..

I went one better and upgraded it all.. From the heads to the muffler tip..

Now its a twin cat setup designed for a L67 but with a single 2.5" catback..

But that was after the S1 exhaust wouldn't fit up to my otherwise 100% standard series 2 exhaust..

Yep. Was advertised as a direct fit for all VT-VY ecotecs.. I don't think it would be different in terms of length compared to a standard s1 exhaust..

Now I'm curious.....what did you have to modify to make it fit?

If I was going to stick with it, I would've had to cut off the flange (from the catback) that joins up to the S2 Y piece and add in another say 2-3" give or take of pipe and weld on the flange..
