iv got a 04 S2 vy excutive with irs, would the cat back fit onto a mates car with an LSD?she has an 03 acclaim. (doesnt know what series)
If they're both IRS it'll bolt up, provided it's the same engine. (Might even fit between engines but I'm not sure, haven't been there)
Check out my VP right 'ere!
its an ecotec. im mostly curious if it will fit if she has LSD...

If it's a series 1, then I believe it wont fit.. Worst case scenario is that it will need to be modified slightly..
-Nick.
It will fit regardless.
The series one had a single cat, the series 2 had twin cats, but they had a y pipe that brought the front flange of the exhaust to the same place anyway.
cheers fellas, answer's all my questions.
Thanks!

The stock system is a direct swap.
You must have removed the Y piece off the cats from yours did you?
Nope..
I went one better and upgraded it all.. From the heads to the muffler tip..
Now its a twin cat setup designed for a L67 but with a single 2.5" catback..
But that was after the S1 exhaust wouldn't fit up to my otherwise 100% standard series 2 exhaust..
-Nick.
Yep. Was advertised as a direct fit for all VT-VY ecotecs.. I don't think it would be different in terms of length compared to a standard s1 exhaust..
Now I'm curious.....what did you have to modify to make it fit?
If I was going to stick with it, I would've had to cut off the flange (from the catback) that joins up to the S2 Y piece and add in another say 2-3" give or take of pipe and weld on the flange..
-Nick.
who u asking? mine is, hers is.
Nah, was asking Nick actually.
But did yours fit her car alright?
Yeah it is a sedan..
-Nick.
cool... i havnt changed it after all... i was gonna buy a new system and sell her my old one. but just gonna buy a resonater instead...
