VZ ss blinkers for VY ss?

Just wondering if this is possible? a mate of mine wants the VZ ss blinkers on his VY ss.

How much is he looking at?

And what is involved in this mod?

About $100-$150 for each gaurd, not sure if thats with or without blinkers.

Changing front guards to VZ SS, you might run into another problem with the VY SS headlights not being the same shape as the gaurd. keeping in mind VZ SS HL are a different shape compared to the VY SS HL.

Are talking about the front indicators or the side guard indicators?

If its the side ones the VY & VZ guards are the same and will bolt straight on.

I had the mod done to my VY SS and with guards, flutes and paint it was around the $1500 mark all up but that was with HSV R8 Flutes which are way more exp than the stock VZ SS ones.

yes it is doable, my cousin bought a 2004 vy s with vz blinkers,
it is very nice, wouldnt be to expensive id expect, but definately worth it for the money

You will need to purchase two guards and two indicators.

Looking at roughly $150 each. So $150 x 4 = $600. Then you'll need to get the guards painted your colour. A local repair shop can do that for not too much. But yes, because the side indicators are a different design, you will need to get new guards, however the VZ ones will definatly fit the VY's.

hey mate how ya going i'm new to this so don't know if i'm typing to you or everybody on this anyway i got a vy but want the vz guards with flutes cut out so when you got the guards did you have problems with the head lights being different? thanks Deano

No issues with fitting VZ guards to a VY as they are the same guard but with a flute cut-outs and mounts. way cheaper than buying the templates and trying to fit them to your original guards. the templates are designed for VB to VL conversions to fluted guards as you can buy VR-VZ guards these days.

You will have no issues fitting these as the head lights are the same shape and all other guard fittings will bolt straight back on.

Yep the HSV R8 Flutes look way better than the standard VZ SS ones and you can also look at the SV6000 Flutes as well they look cool when colour coded to the car.
