Hey all....


I am really confused.

I have a VY SS series II, stockish 6 speed. I am going to buy a otr intake, and from what i gather, i will be losing the "maf" sensor.

Am i able to still get any gains if i do not get one of those "MAFLESS" tunes?

I do not have the funds yet to get one, so is it still cool to run the car with a otr intake and no mafless tune?

i dont think it will run without a maf, im not sure.

But if the maf is removed n is tuned to run with it, it will be waiting for a air flow reading that it wont get.

If you mean run the car without the MAF, as calais_cruzin said above, no you can't. The tune requires the MAF to adjust the air-fuel ratio (AFR). Without it, you will get an engine light and the engine will switch to a safe tune which will sap power and use more fuel.

But you should be able to fit the MAF inline with the OTRCAI. The seller should be able to help out with this.
