Door Rattle - Yes the Rattle that hunts Holdens

Well Well Well... I had it FIXED on the drivers door!! They modified the striker... Its not resolve on the other doors cause I only asked for the drivers door to be looked at to see if they could fix it... and yups its solved...

OK two days after it was solved teh actuator in teh door lock failed and the divers door would not unlock... that gets fixed on friday ... its apparently a fault with the VY'S...

any how CITY MOTORS in West Perth, Western Australia - Kieren Bagge was the tech I spoke to and had it fixed for me... I will now have them fix the other doors for me

Lets just hope it stays fixed!!!

Yeah the commodores from the VT on all seem to have striker probs. I adjust my VT's striker on the drivers door myself now every 6 months or so & theres no noise. Wait 7 months & it starts to rattle

Great! Well does not look to hard to adjust yourself... apparently its because the pillar is now one piece where as VT below its was in two sections which stoped the rattle... At least we know how to fix it...

All my doors on the VT rattle, just over big bumps, but worse on bumps around corners. I've been looking at adjusting the strikers, but do you just make it so they pull the door tighter? They used to have liitle plastic sleeves around them too, but they have all fallen off. Do these have to be on to get rid of the annoying rattle? Any tips are appreciated.
