Must be an S and SS thing, my series 2 exec has the black below the doors and bottom of bumper.
Has any one noticed the bottom of the bar being body coloured on series II and looking shit. I'm actually spraying mine black so it looks good lol.
Ive got foglights now lol.

IF thats all you are having a winge about its a bit harsh making the generalization that the series 2 isnt as good..
Maybe you should have a clearer title to your thread.
I do agree the black looks better in the front bar though.
SORRY TO CLARIFY: I mean the bottom of the SS/S front bumper. They Both have Black on series I and body coloured on Series II. It looks better with the black strip.

the black bit only looks good on the SS. The chrome lights in the S ruin the entire front of the car.

Pretty bold to paint it yourself but from what I can see, it looks good. Be sure to get some better quality pics up if you can and def do the headlights. SS style is soo much better than chrome.

yeah nah. I'ts pretty easy spraying stuff. I scraped the car on a pole when i was driving half asleep. Fixed it myself. It's perfect.

wow i want ur new rims, they look AMAZING!
I'm pretty sure that's not his car just a comparison photo, note the SS badge and different plates. They are nice rims though. Black looks better as does the foglights. I suppose they needed something to distinguish the series models and 'sports' versions.
Doesn't really make the series 2 not as good though does it?
That the automobile has practically reached the limit of its development is suggested by the fact that during the past year no improvements of a radical nature have been introduced.

Drinking and driving: there are stupider things, but it's a very short list.
Ill admit it does look better, but there is no way the series 2 is worse. For the SS i can't imagine the difference would be much but for the S heaps changed. like the rear garnish on 1 is completly black where as it isn't on 2. side mirrors are painted car colour on 2, and the dash cluster on the 2 is mader aswell. im not entirely sure on all of this but they are just some things ive noticed from my series 1 when looking at series2.
Nah i just wanted an appealing thread name :P Series II is heaps better. It more to the fact my car is one of the very last VYs (October Model) so i think its more the VZ style. I've seen a few SS with body coloured bits.

get a set of SS lights and it'll look even better.
one bad thing they did do to the series 2 S pack is make the indicators in the headlights really orange?
Yeah that too.
But anyway.
YEAAA Boii!

Looks really good. Heaps better than before. Some SS lights are needed though just to finish the look.

Nice work, black is awesome!I wouldn't have to worry about that even if my vehicle was a series 2 being all black anyways.
What foglights did you use? Are they genuine ones or aftermarket ones?
They aren't foglights. They are Narva 100mm Driving Lights. H3 - 55watt globe. 300metre distance but i have got them aimed pretty well. They don't dazzle people, tested them out and shit. It's bright but nowhere near a high beam. I wired them up though so i can have them on or off at anytime. And wired them to the ignition coil so they turn off unless the key is on Acc or On.

That's cool, i've been looking for aftermarket driving lights for a while. Dont like fog lights, and dont like Holden's prices either. Have always been wondering what would fit in them!So thanks
I know 100mm lights now.
