VY visual mod recommendations (non-w*nky style)

WELLI am a soon to be P-platerand I am looking for some inspiration on what i can do on my VY!.... I really like them done up classy none of this usual p-plater w*nky looking style!

Does anyone have any pics and recommendations on the exterior??

Maybe a SS style kit. SS lights both front and back. Tint the windows. Lower it. Get some nice rims for it (not full chromies). Change the exhaust tip. That should make it look good.

Just follow the other guys recommendations, lower it, nice wheels, debadge & tint....you can't go wrong.

Just don't start putting HSV body kits onto V6's as this is the biggest wank off all, putting an SS / S or HBD kit would be a nice touch....keep it simple and elegant and think about other mods like exhaust & CAI.

Thanks guys, yeah i'm liking the debadge idea and the exahuast, lowering lights and stuff, if not HSV kit, what type of kit?

There Are Alot Of P Platers On Here (Me Being 1 Myself) And Thay All Have Nice Looking Commodores So Just Jump On The Vy/Vz Chapter In The Forum And Check Some Out You Might See Some Ideas You Like

lol.. bit harsh. I believe him when he says most P platers are wankers because from what I've seen, they are. They may be a minority on paper but you always see the reckless ones on the road. I'm a learner too btw getting my licence in a month (assuming I pass).

As for the OP. Keep mods relatively small and OEM apart from rims. I've found that just adding bits from the model up from yours (in my case the calais), it really changes the whole look of the car and makes it look so much classier.

Real low, No wing, No badges, Sick Rims, and a Subtle body kit, Personally i love the VZ Calais kit looks mint when they are low and clean.

just look at pictures of other people rides, you will soon get an idea of what you want yours to look like. You'll see something and go SWEET! i'll have that...

Bit of advice thou, try to get a picture what you want the whole car to look like b4 you go and start buying things, you might see something you like, then another thing but it wont match the first thing you found. If you know what i mean...

Another bit of advice, its your car, starting a thread asking for peoples opinions on something will 90% of the time will result in a shit fight as you can see. Do things you want to do to your car, not what other want you to do.
