Is it a zip tie around the axle? lol, did that to a mates car and he couldn't figure it out for adges. Just saying it could be a posibility.
Im getting a ticking sound when im driving over 25km/h it doesnt happen when the car is stationary does anyone have any idea what would be causing this as its loud and the noise is faster when im going faster and no its not a rock stuck in the tyre

ive checked that and had it done to me b4 thou its to low to get near the axle
is it on gas????
Bet its the Valves!
no its not on gas old reckon its the left and right cv joints connected t othe diff
Nah mate, if it was the CV's then it would occur at all speeds.
Hate to say it but it is indefinitely the valves. I suppose you are looking at thousands in repair costs... i have mercy for you, especially in the gloomy economix times.
sif. valves easy if pistons are good.
you can pick up heads for $250 and cheap holden head gaskets.
re use bolts at own risk, or get some head studs.
could just be the rockers, heard this is common on gen3's, and if so new rockers and valve springs, easy as, try there first, possibly lifters, what oil are you using in it?
i'v had a ticking noise from mine, used a semi-synthetic and it was worse, put a full synthetic in and was a lot better, got a little worse but not major, then put a mineral oil in recently and all quiet again, worth a shot.
i think it is an oleon brand, was done at chev's performance 9776-8833, all they use, give them a call maybe, there in carrum downs, but they might be able to give you name and viscosity, etc, may help to do that and with an additive they use, cheap easy start and go from there.
Sorry its taken so long to reply it turned out to be the cv joints in the axels connecting to the diff the bolts had come loose and sheered through the cv joints
When you replece the cv's, make sure you put locktite on the bolts. New ones from Holden will already have this on them (the blue stuff on the threads).
