Hey i recently bought a supercharged VY S pack, its got 120 000 ks on the clock. My question is how much fuel should i b using during city driving i am currently getting around 15L/100km without thrashing. If this is high what could b wrong?
cheers
i get 15l/100 in a normal v6, driving semi agressivly

no commodore likes stop start driving, they big and heavy to get off the line
im hoping your running atleast 95octane premium otherwise it will be extremely sluggish and drink more fuel
When my mum drives it (middle-aged asain woman), it drinks about 17.5l/100 but when I drive it (17y/o P plater), it drinks about 15l/100. All from a standard 3.8L ecotech.
A Commodore is a passion. Anything else is just a car
My supercharged Vs Statesman gets 12/13L per 100km
L67 VY, i get a range of 11-14L/100km in city driving on average, seen it as low as 10.2L/100km in peak hour city traffic. And i've seen 6.9L/100km on the highway with roadworks.
Only time city driving with 15L/100km's is when i floor it off the line.
I use BP ultimate (98% octane)
And yeah, Getting an avarage of 12-15L/100km around the streets/city and does go down to 9-11L/100km on freeways.

On the VY, It tells you how many L's of fuel to a 100km your using.
Dunno how to tell on the VX.

I average about 11L/100KM on my stock as a rock Ecotec, on 60-80KM/h roads with light to moderate traffic.
Brim the tank and reset your trip meter, then next time you fill up brim it again. Note how much fuel you put in (say its 50L) and note how far you've driven (say its 450km)
Then it's just some simple maths. 50 / 450 = 0.111
0.111 x 100 = 11.1L/100KM
lol easy enough thanks mate

and who said V8's very thirsty.
With a Raptor and a few other bolt on bits.I return 10-12lt/100km in a VY manual ute.
my v6 vy i average out 11-12l and thats putting my foot down a bit to hear the lukey exhaust![]()
I had this problem I even tried d/c the battery but still didn't work. After 2 years of using 98pulp I did a full tank of normal unleaded and it dropped now sitting on 12.6 How odd :S

OK Im not real good with my maths, can someone tell me my usage, I get about 300kms to about 55ltrs?
Sort of, but not really because it's just a comparison.
Octane rating - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
18.3Litres/100km
I'm getting tank averages of between 9-11/100 around town, and 8-9/100 on the open roads.
I've run 91 and 98 Octane. Doesn't seem to affect the economy by much - 98 octane feels more responsive.
My worst average where 13/100 around town and 12/100 open roads when my O2 sensor was faulty.
18.3/100 sounds real bad on the wallet.
15/100 is a bit high, i used to get somthing like that but i change my MAF sensor and it dropped to
10-11/100 driving with a baby foot
For all those quoting their figures, just remember that the OP has a Supercharged engine, so it's meant to be higher around town. But usually ends up lower on the open roads.
OP also stated city driving, which is bad, stop starting work. Worse for the city! Then factor in the supercharger too. I was getting fairly high in the city, i think i had mine up at 18L/100km driving fairly aggresivly in the city though. Did most of the driving on that tank in the city, and today i was on the highway for about 30km/h and it's already dropped to 14L/100km.
