    Default Vy steering wheel buttons

    Hey guys,

I need some advice on the steering wheel stereo controls. My 'next' button was missing when I bought the car and I've looked left, right and centre for a new one. I've tried Google, E-bay and various car dealer sites and found nothing.
Could someone please tell me where I could possibly get them, and also is it easier and cheaper if I go to my mechanic or would it be best if I bought them myself and attempted to install it?

    Thanks for any replies

Shouldn't be too expensive from Holden (you might have to buy the whole button assembly though, rather then just 1 button head). I'm guessing you'd probably have to remove the horn pad (airbag) to install it. Holden will charge you about $50 labour, due to the small risk of the airbag going off when removed from the car.

Is it illuminated? If not, then look on eBay, there was plenty last time i searched for them. Yes you will have to buy the whole assembly (which includes both sets of buttons) as you can't just buy a single button.

Yeah they're going to charge me $60 for labour and $30 for the set of buttons which is pretty good.
    Thanks for the help

Are your buttons illuminated? If not get Holden to fit the illuminated ones. They cost abit more but well worth it IMO

Don't you have to fit a different clock spring though? I don't think the clock spring on non-illuminated wheels facilitates the backlight wiring. Would probably be a prick of a job to install.

Thats the prob i have, bought a set of illuminated audio controls but it still doesnt illuminate.

To the OP, as said you wont be able to buy individual buttons, you'll have to buy the whole assy.
