Hi ppl,new to the site about to buy a VY2 wagon, with low profile wheels and tyres
now there seems to be a slight knock or bump from the front l/h/f wheel could this be a balancing issue or a bearing?? seems to happen when turning right
i have never driven a car with low profile wheels before could they be contributing??
the car has only 112000 K's on it power steering seems a little noisy but i think that it maybe low on fluid not sure on that one.
are there any major mechanical issues that i should be made aware of before i hand over my hard earned cash??
many thanks in advance
Not knowing your age ect but insurance will be higher due to the low profile wheels.. The knocking is normally a bush or bushes flogged out and will need replacing.. Maybe all part of a RWC?
I assume the transmission had it's 100,000 service?
Check for fluid levels before purchase.. even if you have to fill it as a new change over pump ain't cheap.
It may be beneficial to pay someone to check the car over officially.
Cheers,
Dave
