Just wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to directly swap the pedal kit that's in the VY S pack to the same style as the SS's with a kit like this:
VB -VY Holden Commodore SS MANUAL PEDAL SET Genuine GM - eBay, Other Car Parts, Accessories, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 13-Aug-09 21:24:59 AEST)
Is it possible to just remove the rubber style pedals and just replace them with these? If so is it easy and how is it done?
Shouldn't be a problem. I did it to my berlina and came up great. Getting the accelerator off and the new one back on is a bit of a pain but patience pays off. You might need a hair dryer for the brake pedal too to get the rubber top lip over the pedal with a small wide flat blade screwdriver. Same deal with the clutch I'm guessing.
A Commodore is a passion. Anything else is just a car
Thanks DUK13Y for that,
The main thing i was trying to ask was this (sorry for not being totally clear, i was at work when i posted that):
Does anyone know if the brake pedal for autos is so different for the manuals? I know they're different width for the pedal face, but not sure about the pedal assembly, as i will be throwing in a clutch pedal in my pedal box.
i think the whole pedal box is different.
just run the auto SS set.
