New VY series2 radiator how much??

hi just wondering how much a new radiator is?? we have just bought a vy s2 with 112000 k's on it and we know it needs a front left bearing and thats around 300 fitted but the radiator has started leaking on the filler side its a plastic tank. is it worth getting it repaired?? or a new one?? if not how much is a new radiator??

i paid 420 for new radiator fitted, removed old coolant ,flushed out engine and put in new coolant.

Yeah I paid $410 for a new Adrad radiator and reflush etc, new coolant.

Caad, did you get those prices on the net off nationalwide radiators or something along those lines?

Check the brand first, make sure its not a shithouse chinese version.

i bought 1 from ebay for $150

Is it sss brand or something? if so put it back on ebay...

Installed one of those in my other car and 4 months later I got a $300 one from repco to replace it.

I replaced the radiator in my son's VY one tonner 5.7
Got one from natrad, they offered a choice of a cheapy or the Calsonic (which is what Holden use)
Went with the genuine Calsonic, was around $350 from memery.
They just are not worth repairing mate, you can dismantle them, but eventually the plastic tanks go brittle from the heat.

yeah from what ive heard the VY radiators arent that good, or maybe mainly the sort of berlina/exec models had the really cheapo radiator just made out of recycled coke cans or something
