Wassup!!
The SS diff is playin up, i think. my mechanic mate told me that the converter is gone but i didn't think that the converter affected the one/two wheel spin. Sometimes i get a great double blackie but then other times only a single line. Also tranny sometimes slips when gearing down in NORMAL mode. HELP PLEASE!!!

VY SS LSD Diffs are notoriously very weak if continually doing burnouts or similar , you can get a Kaaz conversion for about 2 grand fitted , or get your stock LSD rebuilt but it wont last long if continually loading it up. My advice , Drive normally !!!!!! It will save you a fortune , but its very boring!!!!
the converter just lets the engine spool up before letting the power out to the auto, ie 3500stall, the wheel dont move till the engines at 3500revs, so great take off, got nothing to do with the diff single spinning, colgf prob right too, I have heard that those diffs are pretty weak, strengthen that first or drive easier.
A bloke at the dealership reckons they can shim it up to fix it. I hardly ever do burnouts and i've had the car since 30,000kms, should i replace the whole diff?? i dont wanna do heaps of burnouts, i just want as much engine power to get to the wheels. i'm even considering a manual conversion.
