    Default VY2 Crewman SS Newby

Hi to all, new member here. Just purchased a Crewman SS manual. First impressions are great, this is my first V8. Only thing is that it is a bit quiet on the exhuast note front. A couple of questions for all
    1. I have very little money so what can I do to get a better sound, do the tail mufflers you can buy at Auto one etc make any difference to sound.
    2. I beleive I have a worn Clutch thrust bearing, sounds like a wasing machine at idle with no clutch engaged and goes away when clutch pedal is pressed in, is this an easy repair and cheap?
    3. I read a lot about 2 hole mods for air intake but I cannot find any info on VY 2 V8's, is there a link on here I can look at?
    4. The garage where I brought the car from last week claimed to have done a pre sale service, is there anything I should do now it is mine such as spark plugs, oil etc.
    5. Gear selection can be a little hard at times, 1st gear takes a couple of goes at idle sometimes and reverse can take 2 or 3 goes with declutching between at times, is this normal or is it possibly the clutch, car has 120K's on clock.
    6. Also engine is a little rough on tickover, the whole car shakes from side to side every few seconds and it sounds what I can only describe as lumpy, Tacho hardly moves from around the 750 rpm mark, seems ok when moving and pick up is fine maybe normal for V8 as I say first one I have owned.
Hope you can answer these for me, I look forward to reading posts and threads in the future

    Firstly:
    1. save up some money & get a full system (extractors, high flow cats etc)
    2. If you have the time to the change it go ahead & do it & clutches arent cheap either, ring around a few places, see how much they charge.
    3. The 2 hole mod is mainly for the Alloytech VZ, but check out VY Frequently Asked Questions
    4. Depending on how many k's the car has done, consult the back of the manual for service intervals
    5. My SV6 does this occasionally but has only done 58,000k, not sure on an answer on this one mate.
    6. When where spark plugs last changed? or check the Leads!
