VY V6 Series 2 Ute exhaust

Ok guys today i rang the guy at lukey and he said i should get a 3" exhaust on my vy v6 series 2 ute. He said he tried numerous ones on his and this was the best option. Does this sound right or is he trying to sell me a more expensive setup as i was just going to go a 2.5 setup with single muffler and no resinator.

2.5" single setup sounds good. Look in the V6 Section.

3" seems a little excessive for a stock V6. Single 2.5 should be the go. Try and youtube some set ups and get a listen for what systems will sound like.

yer thats what i thought but he seemed to think it was good.
theres a vy on youtube atm with lukey extractors and 2.5 catback and sounds pre good might just go that. Itd be lukey extractors, standard twin catts, 2.5 inch lukey exhaust with 1 muff then straght 2.5 inch pipe to a twin tip. sound alright?
