problems starting

My vy is sometimes cutting out when first starting i turn the key it starts to kick over then absolutely nothing just cuts out. Happens maybe 1 out of 10 starts i feel its getting a little worse aswell. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you could have a dodgy connection somewhere.. does it struggle to wind over at all??

Give the FOB ring around the ignition, a light rub with some very fine abrasive, also clean the FOB terminal on the key and see if that makes a difference

This could also be bad contacts in the starter solenoid, but best to try the above suggestions first as they are free.

Not to mention I have not heard of this happening on a commo, but it did happen on my partner's Soarer.
