buying the supercharger soon its only the standerd one thats all jus wondeerin wat else i need
If you're talking about an ecotec, heaps you're better off just buying an L67 complete. You'll need an inlet manifold and cylinder heads. Inlet manifolds are hard to come by unless u buy one new from yella terra or holden.
not to mention your comp will be high, rods weaker, pistons weaker etc etc etc.
just do an engine swap, will save you lots
thanks fellas i mite jus buy a supercharged engin or do u recon turbo it????
vs ute for sale pm me if interested
FA-77-VY, these are the differences in the supercharged 6 comapred to the standard 6:
Supercharger (DUHH)
Extra belt idlers
New balance shaft
Different camshaft sprocket
Double belt crankshaft balancer
Revised rocker covers and gaskets
Connecting rods revised
Revised pistons and pins
Different cylinder heads and gaskets
Higher capacity fuel injectors
Revised lower inlet manifold gasket
A throttle body adaptor (for supercharger)
Fuel rail (over supercharger)
Bypass valve acutator (for supercharer)
Boost control solenoid valve
Coolant system revised (coolant comes out the back of the engine instead of the front)
Revised Flexplate Balancing (more weight)
PCM is calibrated differently
High tension leads
DIS Coils and spark plugs designed for the supercharger
As you see, it would be easier to get an L67 straight out, and you'll need to get the L67 PCM too.
