    Default vy ecotech super or turbo chargers

    hi everyone i recently got a quote from a guy in melbourne to turbo charge my vy ser2 v6 for $10000 drive in drive out, and a quote of $6500 to supercharge it just wondering if any one knows anyone who does either or both cheaper. or if there are little cheaper mods to make it faster cheers

    you can pic up a super6 engine complete yourself for under $2500, then install it for under $1000.

    i would sugest a raptor kit for bout 6k or the proflow turbo kit i think that turbo kit gives u 265rwkw

    from what ive heard its just a complete waste of money putting a blower/turbo kit on the ecotec motor, the thing wasnt designed to handle that kind of stress, youd have to upgrade so many things for it to take the abuse.
    save ya money man you'll regret it, dont bother with the go-fast mods, your best spending the money on a an SS or something.

    I assume that's from Proflow to fit the turbo kit. If that's the case I would do that.

    I got a quote from George a while back and for what comes in the kit it is good value. Fuel system, exhaust, turbo. piping and tune etc is more than fair for $10000.

    If you can afford it, go for it. You will need some tranny work and an LSD or spool to keep the car in control though. Well as in control as 250rwkw can be lol

    ecotecs love boost u wnt need any internal mods except for some high lift rockers for ur benifit

    Most standard motors can run a decent amount of boost as long as they are tuned properly and are looked after. When you start chasing big power is when you need to look at internals
