Vy handbrake wont work/no reverse lights

Help needed... Vy ute

1. How do i tighten up my hand brake so it will hold?? Atm it works but not enough to hold car..............

2. My reverse lights wont come on they started coming on then off but now when i put it in reverse nothing.. Can be tricky at night not seeing....

Any help would be great .. If i can do it myself and learn how to fix these probs rather than paying through the roof with a auto electrican

Handbrake, Take the plastic trim thing off with a screwdriver (Flick it up) then slide the rubber case off, And you'll see a screw and nut, It'll look kinda long, Tighten it there.

As for the reverse lights, Dunno.

Hmm interesting about the hand brake, I've tightened the cable up but still no hand brake, I believe there is something else I need to do under the car but not sure what, can anyone fill me in on what else I need to do?

Reset that adjustment back and take of the wheels, brakes and rotor/hub check for operation... Adjust if necessary or replace failed/worn parts.. Once you're looking at it easy to see how it all works
