Location of oil filter VY SS Gen 3: 5.7l v8

Where is the oil filter located on the VY SS v8 model?

Any other suggestions about changing the engine oil and oil filter are welcome.

Have you had a quick search in here for changing oil. There is sure to be something already posted

its been posted here before, but its on the bottom of the sump, the sump plug is on the drivers side of the sump and the oil filter faces down on the l/h side of the sump, as soon as you take the under tray off you'll see it, and they take 5.7-6ltrs of engine oil.

i use only Holden Genuine and its basiclly the same price as after market. the sump plug has an o'ring washer and is a 15mm sump plug.
