hey just wondered if anyone nos anything about the door locks in a vy when i unlock my car all doors unlock except the rear drivers door jw if anyone eles had had this prob b4? cheers...
your actuator is stuffed need a new one![]()
If its got Wheels or Boobs its gonna cost ya money
ok wt f is tht lol expensive??
do the door actuators come with the door latch on a commodore or seperate?
you'll have to ring holden and ask how much for a door actuator for that particular door, it may be a whole door latch assembly.
not sure how much, most places iv worked at are different in setup and prices, its bassicly a door trim off job, from experience expect any where between the $250-$400 fitted.
my dad's au ford was i think $100 something, so probably round the same then and half an hour to an hour's labour.
Yeah I have the same in the exact same spot! Its alright koz I never drive around really with a loaded car. When the alarm goes beep beep beep when you lock it though.. It means the door is unlocked!
So you can still open ur door?
i got the same problem... i played around with it lock the car from the inside then unlock the back door manually... get out then lock it and unlock... worked sweet for mine hasnt played up since
is your door deadlocked
If its got Wheels or Boobs its gonna cost ya money
Mine did that exact same thing. it would beep really quick a few times when it didnt lock i had to keep pushing it down to lock and pull it up to let ppl in. but mine eventually come right without doing anything and has been ok for 3 months now. its as if me manually doing it for a while loosened it up. But obviously cant guarantee yours will do the same.
buti cant even pull it up manually????????????
mine locks and unlocks every other door but the rear left???bizarre.....i pull that lock up manually and doesnt even budge, any help will be appreciated.
Yeah have to agree with cpbait. My brother had a (WH? 2004) caprice which had the same rear passenger door trouble, it was jamming on lock and unlock then stopped altogether. Turns out it was the (actuator?) which controls that particular lock, about $300 fitted, but if you got the door trim off and got the part surely the part would be cheap enough.
just a real pain in the ass really lol
yeah massive, and like everyone on here has said when you then go to lock the car cause sometimes it stays unlocked the "alarm warning" things goes off, nice and embarassing.
I had the same prob with my passanger door. $200 by an autosparky.
