Painting wing mirrors...

So, I'm attempting a colour change on a pair of mismatched door mirrors (VY) how do I remove the coloured portion? It seems like it's clipped on but I fear damaging it if I go sticking a screwdriver in tere and wiggling it about. Probably some screws bhind the mirror - but how to remove mirror to access screws ??

It is clipped in. I think you have to release the lower edge first by gently prising with a broad, flat blade. I use an old butter knife with no serrations.

It might be just as simple to mask and paint the offending piece.
