    Default insalling aftermarket fog lights

Has anyone installed aftermarket fog lights into a vy.i have a VYS and the wiring is already there,,just need a relay & SS switch.i got some cheap lights from SUPERCRAP just to play with because i am putting them in the black plastic panels in the executive bumper.are the 2 wires in the original wiring plug on the chassis both live & earthed at the headlight or is one live & one earth because the lights i have have got 1 white cable (live) & one black cable (earth).

, one live , one earth. You will need a wiring diagram , or a voltmeter to tell which is +ve & which is negative.

If your saying that there is factory loom in place it'll be negative switched so the W-b 12V+ constant and V-w 12V- switched via relay.

    Supplied a wiring diagram

thanks dave.yes the factory loom is in place.so does that mean that if join the white cable to W-b 12V+ constant and the black cable to V-w 12V- switched via relay we will have light.

Assuming that the spots white cable is the positive leg on the globe.. as we wouldn't want to be popping fuse's but yes.. stick in the relay and the new light switch and all will be sweet... Just take it slow when doing the change over as the retaining clips on the body of the switch are fairly strong.. Slow and steady and a few swear words wins the race

Are you anywhere near me?? As I'd be happy to point and lend a hand

You could've simply saved it to your desktop or ask for a more clearer one from me or anyone.. Bumping threads is just nasty :P
