my car makes some weird sounds..

Hi guys.
I know its a bit of a hard question to ask without even hearing but maybe someone of you guys have had the same problems before:

I have a VY Clubsport

Firstly, upon heavy acceleration, there sounds like a kinda rattling or buzzing sound coming from what actually sounds like the gear stick. It doesnt sound like the transmission at all, just sounds like perhaps the gear stick isnt screwed on fully or something?! Is this possible?

Also one last one. There is a sound coming from what sounds like the front right suspension. Its not when turning, its when it hits a bump. Its like a sort of popping/creaking sounds. Its very noticible but doesnt affect the car in anyways. Im going to rip the wheel off today and have a look.

Once again, I know its hard to diagnose from just my explanation but maybe someone has had a similar problem and has some info for me.

1. Prob a loose bolt where the gear stick is mounted.
2. Worn out shock! when was the last time they where changed?

Umm...dont believe they have been changed yet. Its done 183xxx

So the shocks have done 183xxx! then there well overdue to be changed!

Shocks have a usable life up from 60000-90000km

Really? Thats something I actually didnt realise. What do they cost roughly for a set?

Around $150-200 a pair you'd be looking at.
Prob best to ring a few suspension places & get a exact price.
