Default External "b" pillar plastic trim removal

    Hey all

Have been having problems with the carpet behind the drivers seat getting wet and have found that water has been going down the drivers door and pooling at the door seal at the bottom and then running back along the plastic trim between the seat and door sill into the back!!!
I've adjusted the lock striker so that the door "seals" tighter and I'm going to pull off the door card etc to check that the water drain holes are not blocked when I get time.

I have noticed however that the external seal on the "b" pillar has a huge gap between it and the drivers door, does anyone know how to get the plastic cover off to get to adjust these seals on 03 VY wagon?

    Cheers

they have a clip at the top so lever out carefully at the top and slide it down after it is clear as they are on a taper... have a go you'll see what i mean plus if ya break it they're cheap.

Awesome, will give it a go in the next few days just didn't want to break it straight out if I didn't have to.

    Cheers

ok, i can help with that completely. i spent a number of years working at obrien glass auto. what it is is the seal has deterioated on the body, very simple fix but. u need to take off your interior trim and u will see about 6 10mm nuts if i remember correctly. remove them all and the window will push out. get some d-mastic type sealer from a shop, NOT silocine. run a beed around the old seal and reinstall. this will solve your problem
