A Standard VY S pack commodore wanting to be dumped. how much would a guy be looking at forking out to have it slammed properly??
Monroe GT gas shocks all round $350, king springs or lovells $350- $400, labour $240ish. You may or may not need a camber kit depending on the level of slammage. With a VY I doubt it though

For a KYB (which are FAR better than Monroe) shock and King Springs combo for the VY, you're looking at $675:

yeah i want it low enough for the cops to scratch their heads but not illegal. i will also be putting 19" Dolce wheels in the arches so will the gaurds need to be rolled or should it be ok?
cheers![]()
I have noticed that they all lower to different heights... Me and my mate both have VY's with same springs yet his sits a little lower... i reckon SL's in front and SSL's or SSSL's for back... Ultras are really rough and can barely get anywhere also lower it under 10cm ground clearance
SL's and SSSL's in the rear? The car would be ass down.
You want SL's (Front) and SSL's (Rear), If you want it lower. Go SSL's (front) SSSL's (rear).
Dont need to do the shocks right away either, They'll last for a good while.

KYB Excel G is far better than Monroe GT Gas. Monroe GT Sport would be equivalent to KYB and are a good shock, but generally they're a fair wack more expensive than the KYB's. The KYB is just a superior shock to the GT Gas in terms of quality and performance, and made in Japan.
