K&N POD FILTER bracket? power input?

just bought a K&N pod filter for my VY S2 exec i got the stock air box out alright and put the filter on but it seems to dangle around on the flexi tube just wondering if there is any companies that make a bracket to hold it? and if it is important to put the little electrical wire (which i think is some kind of sensor) into the pod filter and if so how should i go about doing that?

other than that if you're thinking of putting one in your car my mate has a $35 ebay job on his VN i paid $80 for K&N i can't pick any differences in tone or performance we swapped and couldn't pick any difference. although i do hear a difference when the revs get up a bit, and as i release the accelerator a whistle like sound kicks in... i guess its just sucking in air but is there a way to alter the stock system to help it induct more air?

sorry - im new to cars and mods. but handy with tools and parts and fiddly little things. ANY INPUT WILL HELP

I think your better off taking a look at this
2nd hole mod
+ a K&N panel filter, i think you'd get much better high end performance and a deeper growl.

I got the same whistling sound from my pod filter.
