IRS to LSD

Hey all.
iv got a exec s2.
any ideas on how much a LSD would be worth?
brand new? second hand? what would be better?
im gonna be running a raptor charger and a few other mods eventually, so i want something that can will last.

Ok, judging by the thread title, there is some confusion about IRS and LSD.

IRS is the rear suspension setup, LSD is the diff type.

Moving along.

I picked up a 2nd hand VY GTO diff for a grand about 2 years ago and it only had 20thousand km on it.

Brand new, you could probably just get a LSD centre installed in your current diff, then I was looking around it was around the 1200 mark for a new centre and about 1000 for a reco one.

Keeping in mind that a reco one will potentially be a bit tighter than a factory holden one.

VY GTS LSD Diff:

So you can pick up a 2nd hand one off fleabay for about 500-600.

I pad $700 for a fully reco 3.73 hydratrack LSD, best mod I done to the caprice yet. your probably looking for about 500-1,000 for a lsd depending what ratio you want.

Yep, that's generally how it works.

Basically a LSD diff has an extra clutch system in it over a standard non-lsd.

Install this LSD centre and it's a LSD diff.
