    Default Vy v6 extractor problem!!!

Hey ppls, a while ago i bought a set of pacemaker extractors for my vy v6 ute, the guy i bought them from assured me they would fit, numbers on the part are 9 08 5059 , i checked pacemaker.com and they are the right set for my car.
The problem im having is when i go to fit them i cant get the bolts lined up because the end of the extractors is hitting the under carriage of the car!
Im preying to god that this is a stupid question and it is something simple!
Any help will be very greatly appreciated

Which side is hitting??? Are you sure they are not for a Supercharged V6???? The Driver side bank is hardest to fit & runs very close to other body bits. , you may need to undo the steering rack to squeeze them past it.

Its actually hitting both sides, but only under the car like the floor. def not supercharged because they are p/n 5060 and 5061. the steering rack dosen't seem to get in the way.... this seems quit odd to me

Hmmm, sounds fishy ..... Maybe you will have to take some photos & send to Pacemaker to see whether they have put the wrong part tags on them....sorry but I cant think of any other reason.

Hmmmm- They dont look like they have been tampered with , I would still email these pics to pacemaker , they may have had a bad batch & know about it & can exchange them. Otherwise you can pay an exhaust shop to put them in their pipe bender & bend them down slightly , make a mark on where you think they should be bent or use a piece of stiff wire to give you a template for how much to bend them (a opened up coathanger works well ) . Definitely try Pacemaker first, .....

I must say it seems very odd, Pacemaker generally hang low...

Is your VY a series 2?

That doesn't look like priginal pacemaker paint to me so there may be a chance they've been modded. Can't see the poing of modding them like that though unless they were fitted to a car with absoloutely shagged engine mounts then hit with an oxy to bend em up a little. Very unlikely though.
