Question Exhaust system for VY V8

    Hi all,

Just my second post here so please be nice lol.

I have brought a 2004 HOLDEN BERLINA VY II V8 it still has the factory exhaust on it. So what i would like to know is what things can i get done to it so it sounds like a V8? I don't want anything that's going to attract attention from the boys in blue.....

    Any advice greatly appreciated

    PS: Great forum

Cat back will give you a decent note but if you have the coin you can go the whole hog and do headers as well, gives them a nice throaty sound.

lol, you can spend upwards of $4000 if you want
I'm running hm shorties for the headers and a nice catback system, still running the factory cats. Mine would set you back between $1000 - $1500

Nah you're right mate, $1k will get you a catback system no probs. You can always add headers and hi flo cats later on to the system you buy, you don't need to do it all at once.

2.5 system. Pacemaker headers up front with 1% cats. Red back system from the cats back. I have been stopped 3 times by other com drivers asking what cam and heads I am running.....ITS THAT DEEP!
