    Default parker lights (teardrops)

so i decided to change my globes in there to the arctic blue kind because im not the biggest fan of the yellow look they have going and the arctic blue bulbs appeared to be just as yellow, is there any other kind of bulb out there that will not appear yellow? or is it something in the tunnel the light lives in?
sorry if this has been covered i had a look couldnt find anythin...

Sure you mean parking lights and not headlights?

I had similar Narva globes in my old car before i changed to Philips BlueVision, HUGE upgrade from the Narva's.. produced a crisp white light, so i would definitely recommend the Philips Blue/Crystal/Diamond Vision range (depending on your budget). They produce varying light temperatures between 4000-5000k which is very white light.

Secondly, if your after more 'blueish' light, you will most likely need to install HID's, I havent seen any typical halogen globe greater than 5000k so HID's with anything over 6000k is where the more blue light is produced.

    Hope that helps.

Yeah from what ive seen Artic blue blubs aint that blue.

As ive done your better off buying either:
    Pure white leds
    Light blue leds
    Blue leds
    or shop around.

i had the tear drops too and they are not so good. have a search on ebay for T10 halogen. And look for the globes that have a rich darky blue colour on them. I got them and they are awesome white and wont blow like led's do over time from the main headlight. They are also cheap. If you cant find them ill give you a link when i get home

im not sure if ur interested.
but i found these 12 months ago, $25 a pair, halogen still, the bluest halogens u can buy. i searched everywhere, every website, every brand. it says 8500k on the box, but its probably closer to 6000k. they are definitely more blue than phillips though.
only problem is, one of them blew after 9 months but for $25 a pair, i didnt really mind.
if you want the link, i can get the box out of the garage and post it up here.

here's a photo comparing the two,
left is obviously the standard globe...

This thread is about the parkers mate. T10 globe. Its a little harder to get decent blue/white halogen parkers. My tear drops were about 25-30 bucks and the ULTRA blue halgoen was just under 10. Didnt end up keeping the tear drops and used the cheaper better option.

The link i posted is for the "Xenon White" colour appearance

Problem is ive gone through 5 sets of LED parkers. They are the best, but they keep f'ing up as the heat from the main headlight globe is too much for a little plastic case, so it warps and fries the little circuit. Also melts the casing a little.

These xenon white look ones are glass so they last a hell of a lot longer.

It's either a Park Light or Parking Light. No such thing as a parker light. There are however Parker Pens, they used to be quite good too.

Thats cool man, 'parkers' is slang and basically everyone uses it.

The Arctic blue ones aren't really white, they are still yellow.

2x Xenon T10 501 W5W 168 194 Xenon White Wedge Bulbs - eBay Other Lights, Indicators, Lights, Indicators, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 27-Oct-09 20:30:35 AEDST)

^ These ones here are the Xenon White appearance, which actually DO appear white, not yellow. Cheers

That's like saying you have a white car that looks blue. If they look blue then they are blue.

well its actually more of a purple. if the headlight lense wasnt there and you could actually see the globe, it would be white.
