Mesh needed on grill?

HI!

Been on the forums for a couple weeks now, after buying my VY Exec. Have realised most people dislike the Chevy grills however i went out and bought a grill anyway...now my concern is -

the original grill's lips were facing down in an angle to stop water/dirt from getting in. This new grill i bought isnt like that. And there is no mesh at the back either therefore i think stuff can probably get inside if im driving.

Can anyone shed any light on this? It's the chevy grill seen on ebay for the VY Exec

Dont wory about it, the S and SS have ones like the chev one but with a holden logo on it
