getting fuel out of tank

is there an easy way of doing this without going to extremes of unbolting tank etc. like can i fit a syphon hose down the filler. just curious as while im saving pennies for a tranny rebuild i gotta drive the gfs lancer. (yay me) and the day the commy stuffed up i just filled it up.

Yeah you can use a hose to syphon it out of the commy mate.

in the past i have disconnected a fuel line and put it into a container and let the pump fill the container. its a bit of mucking around but it works.

I've tried that ones and could not figure out how to do it properly. You are supposed blow into the hose and then the pressure will push the petrol out?

Does anyone know a proper way of doing it, i'm such an idiot.

you suck on it

but you just like go three sucks one after the other and you can feel it comming up the hose the take your mouth off

but what ever you dont breath while sucking just use your chest with out actually breathing

Or better still,fill the hose with fuel and put your finger over the end before you quickly put it in the tank.
Just remember than the end of the hose outside the tank must be lower than the fuel in the tank,you can't syphon up hill.

sweet as guys, thanx. will give it a go tomorrow. wasnt sure of kinks in the fuel filler that stopped this from happening lol.
