Rear sensors on calais has fallen inside
hi guys,one of the reversing sensors has fallen inside???
do you have to take off rear bumper and simply"pop back in"
Dont know where to start as not that fixit kinda guy but if i know i'll sure GODDAMMIT
give a go.

I thought they were accessible from under the car , I remember crawling under the back of mine recently & thought I saw the inside of the sensor up thru the behind of the bumper. Climb under & have a look....

They are simply pushed into the bumper facia. To access the problem one, take the facia off, pop the offending sensor back into place and replace the facia.
The sensor has a plastic flange that is supposed to prevent it from pushing through, so you will have to be careful replacing it.
8 hours? Friggin wanker....... More like half an hour max.
Incidentally, the bumper reinforcement prevents you from fixing this prob without removing the facia first.

Thanks for the tips guys,not the type to muck around with things i dont know
however the more i read around this site makes you want to build a shitbox to a
showroom piece of art without any knowledge at all(me).

Just be careful when you try to refit the sensor. They are pre-painted and you will damage the paintwork for sure if you are heavy handed. You might be able to disconnect the wiring for that single sensor and just push it back into place from the back.Originally Posted by VYSERIES2CALAIS
