Im thinking of selling my VY executive.
just curious as to what its worth. Im hopeing for 10g, but need 8.....
130,000km
very good condition.
full exhaust.
any ideas?
cheers.
its a exec yeah, probably round 7 or 8
yeahh... expect about 7 or 8 tops as Farax said. Advertise it as 10 though, you'd just be very lucky to get that i reckon
The Blue One
you could get easy 10g in WA. its a steal for much cheaper
I bought mine for 6 grand, but it had 190000 k's.
Runs like a dream though, and was in mint condition.
I would say average price is around 7 and 9, with some going a bit higher.
2 months back i paid 10k cash for mine...
80,000k's absolute perfect condition not a scratch, dent, tear or anything... runs like a dream, looks like one too...
was already lowered and had the 17" SS wagon alloys on it though that is where i justified the price.
3 months ago i got mine with 134 on the clock for 8 grand. Advertised for $10,990.
What's it worth - whatever anyone will pay for it. With high k's and non factory exhaust, not much. Good luck.
i reckon youll definately get an easy 10 in perth/bunbury.
not everyone out there is a commodore enthusiast and knows exactly what one is worth![]()
I didnt think you would get close to 10 for it, i was thinking more like 6k
As Paul said, Redbook is what all the car yards use. So make your value judgements based on the info that redbook provides. Just dont type in Redtube....thats what a mate told me the website was, not much fun going on redtube with the family standing around wanting to know how much my ute was worth....
"And i gave that man directions, even though i didn't even know the way; because thats the kinda guy i am today"
iv done that before. my mates liked it. my missus didnt!
when i went to buy it, 16 months ago, it was advertised for 16, had been reduced to 14, and i weaseled it down to 12. had just ova 100 thou on it. ran perfect. look perfect.
Hi just wondering if anyone can advise a fair sell price for White VS Comm Exec Auto with only 120,000Km's (original) on clock. It needs repair to inner roof lining, as it's falling all over me.
Has a set of white mags on it also. I would say it's in fair condition, with motor in excellent condition, so if you can give me an idea of a fair sell price would be great?
Thanks
With that mileage around $8000 on a basic VY series one auto in good condition in a private sale. But it also depends on what area you are in as values and demand can differ a bit from State to State.
Colour is also important. If you have a very popular colour which is in demand you may do a little better but mostly the right colour just makes it much easier to sell.
On pricing you should first check what is being asked for the same model (and year) car, with a similar mileage and condition, in your area. Looking at carsales.com website is a good guide on current asking prices and all the necessary details on the cars are there so you can make initial comparisons. Most dealers that advertise on the web have their cars listed on the carsales web site. Just don't assume people or dealers are getting their asking prices though. You need to pitch your price below dealer asking prices. If you have all service records for the car which indicates at least all "book services" have been carried out to spec that is a good selling point. Include this info in the ad and have it available for purchasers to examine. Visit a few dealers and see how you car compares with the same model being offered in the sales yards.
For obvious reasons don't advertise the fact that you have modified the exhaust system.
Best of luck with the sale.
