hi, just quickly, need to know if the extra backing plate thingy on stock pads needs to be put on new pads?
yeh you should put them back on the new pads, they help with stopping brake squeel
how do i go about taking them off the old pads? they seem to be glued on. i threw the new pads in without the plates, the brakes squeeled with the old pads and still squeel with the new ones. also have new rotors.
They should only clip on around the sides and are pretty thin, maybe they have rusted onto the back of the pad.
