    Default Let's talk Telematics...

I've got a WK Caprice with the telematics system but the service is disconnected. What I'd like to do is put a new SIM in the unit and program the keys to dial my road side assistance provider when I press 'holden assist' and to dial '000' when I press the emergency button. Anyone got any ideas how to program these things?

Sorry I don't think even via tech2 you can do this as its a firmware based instruction within the telematics system..

Mind thinking of it.. If you can read the original sim and see how the contacts are entered you may be able to simply name the two new contacts the same. It's a bit of a reach as I know nothing about them plus if they even use traditional means for the comms.
    Cheers,

    Dave

yes i checked it out with the tech2 you see the stats of telematics unit like gps local and phone signal
and reporting logs the unit is on gprs it has a ip and its looking for the other end some ip i guess
you can remove the sim card but its just a data sim
