Hi All
Just had the castor bush changed on my 2003 vy ss....(at Holdens)....Noticed tonight that it looks like its leaking oil.....Does the joint contain oil or is it possible that its leaking from above...No leaks previous to the joing change
Any ideas
Thanks
Alan
If anything it would be a bit of grease they put around there, unless you got some oil dripping on it from elsewhere.
The genuine bushes are oil filled. Take it back to Holden for a look see. It's always best to replace these with a nolathane or superpro bush set as they last for years n years. The genuines will only last a year or 2

Yep once the oil escapes it's time for a replacement. Urethane bushes provide a big improvement in steering/brake feel and last longer too.
yeh i bought the genuines then got urethane's instead, still got the genuines in there packets at home if anyone wants them?
Took the car to Holdens today and the new castor bush(replaced a couple of weeks ago) was faulty. It was leaking oil....They have replaced it and all seems to be ok..Thanks for all your help....How much are these new urethane replacements and are the worth the swop..Is there any advantage to changing them over?
Thanks
Alan
My local does Superpro supplied and fitted for $240. You will most likely need an allignment after a week or so when the bushes settle.

Does anyone jonw of a good online supplier if these urethane bushes? if not where would be my best bet to get them from? how muhc would I be looking at?

GSL Rallysport can do them, they are a forum sponsor and have a section at the top of the forum
Holmart or ringwood auto parts on ebay also retail them
